Indigenous Peoples

Bob Boyer's wall painting

The Indigenous Peoples exhibit serves as a tribute to the cultures that have flourished on this land for generations. Through thoughtful and respectful creation, this exhibit offers a compelling journey into the traditions, histories, and contemporary lives of the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities.

The Indigenous people have lived here for thousands of years and have helped to shape modern Saskatchewan. My favourite exhibit is the wall painting by Bob Boyer, a local Indigenous artist who passed away in 2004. I was lucky enough to be able to take Indigenous Art History classes with him before his passing.
